Join Master Sharpener, Ayanori Suzuki, for a quick, 1-hour sharpening session at our Poblenou space.
Up to 2 participants in a session, you will learn the basics of traditional Japanese sharpening techniques and how to transform any dull knife into a perfect cutting tool. From rough grinding and thinning to sharpening and polishing, upon completion of the workshop, you will leave with your knives in new, pristine condition and with the knowledge of how to care for your knives at home.
You are asked to bring your own knives, one 18 to 24cm chef's knife and one 8-12cm paring knife (both flat/straight edged). You will also receive a 15% discount on the stones you use in class, if you wish to purchase thwm and depending on availability.
Ayanori Suzuki is a veteran Japanese professional sharpener who has been working in Sweden for the past 8 years, teaching his craft and sharpening for top restaurants, accomplished chefs and savvy home cooks in his own Stockholm knife shop.
